Key responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee geohydrological investigations and groundwater assessments.
- Interpret groundwater, borehole and aquifer-related data.
- Manage and/or conduct borehole testing and field investigations.
- Prepare professional geohydrological and groundwater reports.
- Provide technical input into Water Use Licence Applications (WULAs) and related projects.
- Assist with groundwater assessments, water balances and technical documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Review technical information and ensure reports meet professional standards.
- Undertake site visits and fieldwork as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Geohydrology, Hydrogeology, Geology or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in geohydrology.
- Professional registration with SACNASP is essential.
- Proven experience with groundwater investigations and borehole-related projects.
- Strong technical report-writing skills.
- Sound knowledge of South African water legislation and water-use authorisation processes.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving abilities.
