Join our client, a leading chemical supplier in South Africa with over three decades of experience. Specializing in the production of high-quality, competitively priced chemicals for local and international markets, they are recognized as one of the largest manufacturers of copper-based chemicals in the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish quality standards and procedures to ensure optimal performance of laboratory equipment; oversee repairs and maintenance.
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, including ordering and stock verification
- Monitor laboratory productivity and make necessary staffing adjustments.
- Participate in quality assurance programs, generate reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain laboratory information systems; identify needs and provide staff training.
- Implement new methods and procedures; manage scheduling and operational requirements.
- Counsel and evaluate laboratory staff while promoting their professional development.
- Contribute to achieving overall team objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum MSc in Chemistry (Biochemistry preferred).
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience, including 5+ years proven experience in a management role.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Must relocate to Potchefstroom
Compensation:
